Sprout Social alternative: HuddleWatch
Short answer
Sprout Social is an enterprise social management suite: Essentials at $79 per seat per month billed annually, Standard $199, Professional $299, Advanced $399, Enterprise custom. Listening is not in the base plans — it is a paid add-on available on Standard and up. HuddleWatch is a single-purpose tool that watches Facebook groups, public and private, and scores every post 0–100 for buyer intent.

Pick HuddleWatch if
You want group leads and nothing else, priced flat, without a seat count or an add-on to unlock the part you came for.

What actually differs
The listening is an add-on
Sprout's base plans do not include Listening. If listening is why you are looking, price the add-on on top of a Standard seat before comparing anything.
Per seat, and the seats are not cheap
Two people on Professional is $598 a month before add-ons. HuddleWatch does not charge by person because the thing being watched is a group, not a user.
Sentiment is not intent
Sprout's Listening scores how people feel. HuddleWatch scores how close they are to hiring. A furious post about a competitor is negative sentiment and excellent buying intent, and only one of those tools tells you to reply.
Different buyer entirely
Sprout is bought by social teams at companies with brand guidelines. HuddleWatch is bought by people who need the phone to ring. If you have a social team, Sprout is probably the right call and HuddleWatch sits alongside it.
Frequently asked questions
Is social listening included in Sprout Social?
No. Their pricing page states Premium Analytics and Listening are each available as individual add-ons to the Standard plan and up.
Does Sprout Social monitor Facebook groups?
Their pricing page does not say that group content is covered. Confirm with them if closed groups are your requirement.
Why is HuddleWatch so much cheaper?
Because it does one thing. There is no inbox, no approval workflow, no publishing and no reporting suite — and no seat licences.
Can they run together?
Yes. Sprout for the brand's social operation, HuddleWatch for group-sourced pipeline.
